Senior actress Javeria Abbasi has recently confirmed her marriage on Sama TV’s morning show, revealing that she tied the knot three months ago. This announcement comes two months after she posted a cryptic photo of a ring on social media, sparking rumours of her marital status.
In the show, Javeria Abbasi spoke candidly about her longstanding career in showbiz and her close relationships within the industry, including her friendship with actor Shahood Alvi. She disclosed that her new husband is a businessman not affiliated with the entertainment sector.
Javeria Abbasi shared that the decision to marry was a well-considered one. My daughter Anzaila Abbasi and close friend Shahood Alvi, among others, encouraged me to take this step. Everyone consented, and thus, I started this new chapter in my life.
Javeria Abbasi also discussed the reasons behind her delayed marriage. She explained that she had to care for her ailing parents first and also had responsibilities towards her siblings, including her sister, Anushe Abbasi and a brother who is still unmarried.
The actress revealed that her relationship with her husband began at a social function, eventually leading to a marriage proposal. Initially hesitant, Javeria Abbasi was inspired by fellow actresses Bushra Ansari and Samina Ahmed, who also got married later in life. Talking to Bushra helped a lot; she encouraged me to go ahead, reminding me that there is no set age for marriage, Javeria Abbasi said.
